Awards and Achievements

Dr. Ruparel pursued the AIMS clinical fellowship in Melbourne, Australia. He underwent 6 months of training learning the latest advances in Spine Surgery. Apart from new Minimally Access Surgeries like the Oblique Lumbar Interbody Fusion (OLIF), he learned the latest nuances like the Navigation and Robotic Spine Surgeries here

Dr Ruparel was awarded the prestigious fellowship at the Okayama Rosai Hospital in Japan. Here, Dr Ruparel enhanced his skills in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgeries and Deformity Correction Surgery.

Dr Ruparel was one of the few who received the ASSI Long term – 2 years fellowship at the Bombay Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai, India. This is a board certified fellowship by the premiere Association of Spine Surgeons of India. After his Orthopaedic training, this fellowship formed the basis of his career in Spine Surgery. He got exposed to all facets of Spinal ailments. The seeds of pursuing further advances in this filed were laid during this training period.

Dr Ruparel had a keen interest in research and academic activities right from his post graduate training days. He stood as a runner up for the prestigious VTI Gold Medal Session at the Conference of The Association of Spine Surgeons of India, Pune, India.

Dr Ruparel received the All India Best Poster award at the Conference of the Indian Orthopaedic Association Conference held in Hyderabad, India.
